In this welcome letter you’ll find helpful information for students and families regarding student accounts and financial aid throughout the 2023–24 academic year.

To assist you with early financial planning for college, the RISD Net Price Calculator will help students and families estimate the total cost of attending RISD. It provides a preliminary assessment of a student's financial aid eligibility. These calculations are for information purposes only and should not be considered an actual award or expected award. Funds are based on availability.

FEDERAL STUDENT AID
The US Department of Education Federal Student Aid office offers information, resources and assistance for students and families preparing to finance a college education.

FINAID
FinAid is a nonprofit organization providing a variety of resources for locating and applying for financial aid opportunities.

CONDITIONS GOVERNING FINANCIAL AID AT RISD
This document lays out student responsibilities and other aspects related to receiving and retaining financial aid while enrolled at RISD.

INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE
The Internal Revenue Service provides information about credits, deductions and other questions about taxes and financing a college education.

FEDERAL STUDENT AID OFFICE
Helpful information and links from the Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid office.

MYMONEY.GOV
MyMoney.gov is a comprehensive financial education resource administered by the Federal Financial Literacy and Education Commission.
